Touch of Healing - Clinic Of Complementary Therapy

Touch of Healing is a clinic of complementary medicine offering clinical remedial bodywork therapies and holistic treatments.

The purpose of complementary medicine is to address a persons needs as a whole. At Touch Of Healing health is viewed in terms of physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual wellbeing. When one presents with physical pain it may be a manifestation of any one or a number of issues. The body's systems are all connected through fluid, neural networks and connective tissue, so imbalance in one place can translate elsewhere. Addressing the root cause of the problem rather than the symptoms is the potential route to freedom from pain and chronic illness.

As each patient is an individual, having their own unique needs, treatment plans are assessed as required per visit, and techniques deemed to be of most benefit are used according to ongoing consultation. The multi disciplined skills used within the clinic facilitate patient recovery or improvement in a manner which suits individual need.

The techniques used are wide ranging and can target many of the body's major systems: musculoskeletal trauma, through sports injury, pre operative preparation and post operative recovery, somatic holding patterns, muscle spasms or short term and chronic pain. The lymphatic system to reduce swellings, bruising, scar tissue, post operative recovery, circulatory and autoimmune irregularity.

CranioSacral Therapy can address a large number of physical alignment, emotional and psychological issues which contribute to chronic health problems. It can incorporate "counselling for the soma" referred to as somato emotional release, addressing childhood or longterm emotional issues which remain held in the body, effecting life ongoingly.

Visceral Manipulation targets the motion of internal organ structures within the thorax and abdomen, which can lead to what appears to be musculo skeletal pain, but infact may mask deeper implications. Using this technique developed by French Osteopath Jean Pierre Barral, it is possible to apply direct treatment to and free up restrictions around particular organs, improving their function and ultimately the health and function of all the surrounding structures.

Holistic therapies specifically address relaxation needs and incorporate physical treatments such as Indian Head Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Dynamic Thai Massage. Other eastern techniques, include the hands on healing therapies of Reiki, colour healing and the TCM mode of acupressure. Contraindications do apply to some of the relaxation options so, its quite important when choosing gift options for a loved one to ensure ,you are buying a gift which will be appropriate for them, so please take the time to enquire, what will give them the most benefit.

Touch Of Healing has one goal, which is to facilitate your healing, aiding your body towards the homeostasis, it is for some reason unable to achieve at the time you choose to seek us out. We understand you are suffering and we would like to help you through your difficult time as swiftly as your body allows.

From a more aethestic perspective Touch Of Healing, utilises Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage in anti-cellulite treatment and in conjunction with acupressure can be utilised for facial rejuvenation.

Touch Of Healing treatments are applicable to any age group from newborn, as young as a minute old, to the elderly and infirm. The extensive treatment ranges permit alleviation of traumatic birth symptoms, to behavioural irregularities and atypical development patterns, in children; to slowing down problems which develop through aging. From head to toe, psychological, emotional, physical or spiritual, Touch Of Healing may be of potential help, and to know if it can help you with your particular condition or something suffered by friends or loved ones, then please ask by emailing shehnaz@touchofhealing.co.uk or phoning on 01775 640788 to enquire or make appointments.
