Symptom - Back pain
Back Pain is the most common of pain problems existing in todays modern day society. The health of the back is incredibly important to sustained quality of life, and back pain can easily effect our lives in a very detrimental way. In another section I have spoken at length about the mechanisms which lead to pain, and the back is as susceptible if not more so to chronic pain problems through tissue inflammation.
Certain types of back pain are the greatest cause of sickness from work and cost employers thousands in lost productivity and man hours. Back pain effects the individual by preventing them performing optimally in terms of their dreams and aspirations. Being free of back pain becomes their main focus in life and yet the back pain persists, because every avenue they seem to take only gives them short termed respite, but the backpain never really leaves them.
The most obvious ways to alleviate back pain are through losing weight, exercise and in particular exercises which improve posture and address core stability issues in the abdominal muscles. Strong stomach muscles are incredibly important to combat back pain. However, despite perhaps watching diet, ensuring core strength issues, some people through repetitive strain and work related problems feel like back pain is a constant part of their lives. For these people understanding the muscular and visceral problems which can contribute to back pain is very important and knowing what is available to address those causes behind back pain is important to. Ignorance regarding complementary techniques is a very real problem.
