I am Shehnaz Dungarwalla. I have worked with massage therapy in different forms for almost 18 years and I am a member of the Complementary Medical Association.
Through time I have added to my skills, Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Indian Head Massage. Like so many therapists I was drawn to Reiki, where a need for a greater understanding of the way energy works led me to do a two year colour healing Diploma. I continue to update my clinical massage capabilities, and my counselling and psychology training so that I can offer more quality to the overall treatment I can give my clients.
The treatments within Touch Of Healing can be specific, but often I will use a combination of the techniques, illustrated in the treatment section. I find that working this way enables each client to be treated individually and for each treatment to vary according to the needs of that particular visit. Combining the energy work from the Reiki and Colour can add impact to the treatment beyond a muscular level.
I have been very fortunate in my ‘journey’, to have, had in my opinion some of the best teachers of my profession to help me develop my work. People like Pauline Wills from the Oracle School of Colour and Meghan Mari and Rachel Fairweather of Jing advanced Massage School and of course Jean Mourton, my Reiki Master who sparked my initial enthusiasm for all things complementary.
